Throughout the years, LGRAW has given back to the community through numerous philanthropic endeavors. In addition to our Scholarship Fund, we have chosen to support local charities with like-minded values. We have donated monetarily, volunteered time and/or effort, and engaged in other worthy causes and forms of altruism.

KEEP GRAPEVINE BEAUTIFUL
One of the most important things that keeps LGRAW so special are the beautiful running paths along Lake Grapevine. LGRAW helps keep these trails clean through our Adopt-A-Park commitment and partnering with Keep Grapevine Beautiful (KGVB).
KGVB holds two major parks and trails clean-ups during the year. “Don't Mess With Texas Trash-Off” is the spring clean-up event with free food, shirts, music and giveaways at the post-clean-up celebration. Their fall clean up event, “Fall Sweep" is held in partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful. Volunteers conduct litter pickup, recycling collection and beautification projects throughout the community. Lunch is served and drawings are held at the end of the event.
Participating in the clean-ups provide us with a safe, clean and scenic place to run and walk throughout the year.
DALLAS MARATHON AID STATION
Being a running club in a large metropolitan area provides many opportunities to help at local races. For 25+ years, LGRAW has been "giving back" to the community by volunteering annually at the Dallas Marathon. Volunteering at the LGRAW aid station is a fun and rewarding way to support our sport and fellow runners.
