LGRAW Race History

Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers (LGRAW) conducted its initial race Bold in the Cold 15K & 5K in January1999. Later in the Fall of that year, a Half Marathon and 5K was held. This Half Marathon race was changed in 2000 to a 5K & 10K and renamed Double Trouble. Both of these races have now been held for 25 years or more.

  • LGRAW donated $65,000 in race proceeds to dog rescue groups over the 11-years of this race.

  • 11th and final Hound Dog Hustle as a RRCA Texas State 5K Championship race

  • Miles (the hound dog) is the dog's name.

  • The 3rd annual Hound Dog Hustle Race T-shirt wins Runner’s World Best T-shirt contest.
