The countdown for RAW’s winter classic has begun….the 2013 edition of this race will be the 15th running of Bold in the Cold and Co-Race Directors, Kathryn Gleghorn and Kelly “K2” Richards have some fun stuff planned.
We’re proud to host the 2013 Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Southern Region 5K Championship. Our champions will be awarded with a $50 Sports Authority gift card, RRCA Championship Plaque, a spot in the RRCA Champions Database and Texas-sized bragging rights. Championship awards will go to M/F Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+) and Senior Grandmasters (60+). Age group awards will be given to those who place in the top 3 spots within their age group.
First place M/F Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+) and Senior Grandmasters (60+) in our 15K will receive a $50 gift card to Luke's Locker.
Fun door prizes awarded to participants through a random drawing! Gift cards/certificates to Einstein Bros., Red Dog Right, The Container Store and Mi Dia from scratch.

Course Description & Maps
The Bold in the Cold 5K and15K race courses wind through paved park roads and sidewalk trails around Lake Grapevine. The courses are USATF certified and will be well marked on race day. There will be aid stations on the course with water and Gatorade available.
We use an IPICO chip timing system powered by Race Director software. The chips are designed to be attached to your shoe and are reliable as long as the chip is below your knee. Please remember to return your chip.

Take Highway 121, 114 or 26 to Main Street, Grapevine. Drive North through historic downtown. Turn left on Northwest Highway. Drive 1/2 mile. Turn Right at PDQ on Dove Road. Drive North 2 miles (no other turns) to the softball fields. LGRAW Clubhouse is across the street. Use softball field parking lot for parking.
